Alfas at the Glen - A Celebration of Alfa Romeo Racing Cars!
Alfas at the Glen returns for July of 2015, celebrating “50 Anni della GTA”.
Alfas at the Glen invites all Alfa racers to come to historic Watkins Glen the weekend of July 23-26, 2015 to celebrate Alfa Romeo and 50 years of the GTA.
We will have designated parking areas in the paddock at the track, a welcome reception and a special gala dinner with guest speakers on Saturday night, similar to what was done in 2005 & 2010 to great effect. We plan to have driver photos, car photos and bios of attendees up on the site as entries are received. Come join us!
Already entered are three of the most historic GTA’s in the US. There is room for many more; we would like to have cars from the twenties to the eighties, like RLs and 6Cs to Alfa Suds, Berlinas, Alfettas, GTV/6s, Milanos and later spiders.
All Alfa Romeo powered competition cars that meet recognized sanctioning body classifications and regulations, including current cars, are invited by SVRA and, if entered in the weekend, include a complimentary entry in the "All Alfa Romeo Race."
SVRA (SVRA.com) has an All Alfa Feature Race on Sunday. There are multiple activities at the track and in the Village of Watkins Glen and surrounding areas you can find tours, boat trips on the lake, and winery tours. There are activities for the racers and anyone who comes with them.
Come help us add to this history as we have done before.

ABOUT CAFFEINE & CARBURETORS
Caffeine & Carburetors is a gathering of automotive enthusiasts. We meet at Zumbach’s Gourmet Coffee in New Canaan, CT about 6 times year to enjoy our rides and share them with like-minded gear heads hiding in and around Connecticut and New York.
We have a tendency to lean toward sports cars, with the occasional Model A or 1920′s Rolls Royce, but our emphasis is on foreign sports cars. We enjoy all vehicles and there are no sponsorships or awards.
Doug Zumbach began hosting these gatherings in 1995. These Sundays start around 8 am to gather and enjoy a cup of coffee followed by a leisurely drive through the countryside.
Caffeine and Carburetors is a way to indulge the gear head in all of us.
Event schedule is always listed in the sidebar. Being a gathering and not a juried event, there is no registration, and events are free for all.

August 24th and 25th of this year the Dutch Alfa Romeo Owners Club SCARB organizes its club weekend at the racetrack of Zandvoort. The Spettacolo Sportivo Alfa Romeo is the largest annual Alfa Romeo event in Europe and sees visitors from all over the continent and even further away. The program for the weekend includes races, parades, track training sessions and much more.
100 years of Zagato
The main theme is the design and couch building company Zagato celebrating its 100th anniversary. In 1921 the first Zagato body on an Alfa Romeo chassis appeared: the G1 Lusso. Many other Zagato bodied Alfas followed, like for example the 6C 1750 from 1929, famous for its victories in many races as well as its sleek and elegant design. Spettacolo visitors will see a variety of Zagato creations; Alfa Romeos and other makes. Many of those cars are very rare or unique.
A 'Zagato' that can be spotted on the road a little more often is the Junior Z from 1969 and its sister model GT 1600 Z from 1972. These models are put into the limelight to celebrate their 50th anniversary. With the support of the SCARB's Junior Zagato Register and the Dutch Junior Zagato Archives, we aim to gather together as many cars as possible, during the Spettacolo.
Alfa Romeo launched the 145, successor of the 33, at the 1994 Turin Auto Show.
Its sister 146 appeared December of the same year and went into production in 1995. At the Spettacolo we celebrate their 25th anniversary.
July 1st, 2019 we launch the updated website www.spettacolosportivo.eu. Ticket sales for the track sessions start the same day. For an impression of the 2018 Spettacolo see: www.alfaclub.nl/spettacolo-sportivo.
