AROC National Convention 2023

"Alfa del Piemonte"

June 17 - 25th
Concord, North Carolina

This was another great convention produced by the Mid-Atlantic Alfa Romeo Owners Club. Convention Chairman David Yager (I believe this was his third) organized, with major assistance from Alfisti Jay Maveety, the convention committee and volunteers, a full schedule of events.

Mucho good times, with our favorite being the TRACK TIME on the banking at Charlotte Motor Speedway!

NYAROC had a good member showing. The main caravan starting from LI was organized by Rob Rizzo. Other members drove straight in and the rest flew in. Members from NYAROC included George and Lynne Pezold, Mike Bange, Rob and Joyce Rizzo, Gary and Josephine Pezzella, Alan Elton, Cousin Aldo Gloddeck, Frank Sapienza, Greg Mason, Mike and Kathy Davias, Frank and Mary LaSalla, Dan and Joette DeGiovine, and Vic and Gail Cerami.

There were a good number of nearby Alfa club chapters represented and also considerable numbers from further away, many drove their Alfas in. AROC pres. Cindy flew in and was able to rent a new Giulia at the airport!

In addition to all the scheduled events a number of NYAROC members also travelled to convention volunteer and NYAROC member Joey LoRe's local Alfa shop in Charlotte for a cars and coffee meet.

Many Alfas were present including another Callaway GTV-6!

One of the main events was the Concours where some really fine Alfas were on display. NYAROC member Gary Pezzella's beautiful Alfa Romeo 1900 CSS took three awards: the Gold "Certificato d'Oro", as well as voted the "Pat Braden Peoples Choice" award and David Hobbs choice award!
