2026 CASA BELVEDERE FESTIVAL & CAR SHOW
2026 CASA BELVEDERE FESTIVAL & CAR SHOW
Ciao Alfisti.
The Italian Cultural Foundation at Casa Belvedere is having their annual 2026 Casa Belvedere Italian Fall Festival and Car Show on Columbus Day weekend. Casa Belvedere is a historic 1908 mansion located on Staten Island atop Grymes Hill with nice views of the water and the Verrazzano Bridge. The festival features a marketplace, authentic culinary delights, live entertainment and an Italian car show. The event helps to support and fund community arts, educational programing, local charity partnerships and a student scholarship fund. Some of our members have attended this in past years. This is a wonderful event. It takes place on both Saturday and Sunday. If you are interested in having your vehicle in the show, you must pre-register. Only registered cars will be allowed in.

Inclement weather forecast
Ciao Alfisti.
The weather is not working in our favor this year, and rain is again in the forecast for this Sunday. I have been in communication with the Center for Italian studies all week, and after several discussions today, we had no choice but to cancel the Concorso for this Sunday Sept 20. This was a difficult decision, but in the end, it just does not make sense to have an outdoor Concorso in the rain, limiting vehicle and spectator participation. This is the first time in 20 years that we had back-to-back weekends spoiled by rain requiring the show to be cancelled. Unfortunately, the weather is not in our control. It's a shame because we had over 120 vehicles registered, with over 40 Alfas! We discussed other possible options like moving the event to Saturday, or perhaps finding another date in October or November. However, due to other pre-existing commitments on the part of the University, the Center for Italian Studies, and the car clubs, we were not able to secure another date that would work for all this year. The plan is to reschedule the Concorso to the fall of 2027.
Thank you for your commitment, participation and support of this special event.

Lime Rock Park’s Historic Festival 44
Celebrating Alfa Romeo in 2026
The Lime Rock Park Historic Festival 44 will be an exciting event this year as Alfa Romeo will be the celebrated featured marque for 2026. Alfa Romeo will take center stage, honoring 116 years of passion, innovation and racing excellence. The festival is from Sept 4-7. This will be an awesome event displaying many vintage and racing Alfas both on the show field and on the track. There will be some of the best examples from the east and west coasts, of rare vintage racing Alfas including T33s, TZ1s, TZ2s, GTAs, TI Supers, Giuliettas, SZs, Monzas, 8Cs, 6Cs, and more. This is an event that you will not want to miss.
Mike Bange and Anthony Intintoli, along with several other local chapter presidents - Enrico Ciabattoni (NJAROC), Dino Gualtieri (CTARO), Gregory Stidsen (AONE), and Scott Klion (HVAROC), have been working with the leadership of Lime Rock Park to make this an absolutely amazing event for all our AROC members. Alfa Romeo Club Members will receive a one time 30% discount off all ticket purchases by using the ALFA26 discount code.
NYAROC will definitely be attending this event, and we encourage you to join us and enjoy the Labor Day weekend racing festivities. We are also coordinating with our friends from CTAROC, NJAROC, and HVAROC to try and organize a drive together or to have a dedicated area for our clubs at the event. More to come on this. Please make your plans and reservations early, especially if you plan to stay overnight. Rooms fill quickly and tickets sell fast. Some of you may want to stay for the entire weekend and others may want to just come for the day on Sunday.
Sunday September 6th will be the busiest day as it includes 2 highlight events – the Sunday in the Park Concours and the Gathering of the Marques. To register your car for the concours, please click on the link below to complete an online application. The application is due by August 19th. Ladies and gentlemen, in 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024 I organized a car guy’s trip of a lifetime in beautiful Sicily. Now I’m doing it again in 2025! Over 100 people in our inner circle of members/friends have gone, some more then once and they can’t say enough about their fantastic experiences while touring, driving, eating and drinking, laughing, forging new friendships that will last a life time.
The Raid dell’ Etna Sicilian Classic Car Rally consists of 7 days and 6 nights of a full schedule of drives, sightseeing tours, all meals in jaw dropping venues, 4/5 star hotel stays, enjoying great company, experiencing the southern Italian/sicilian culture, customs, history, cuisine, gorgeous landscapes and spectacular coastline seascapes, etc. dates are Sept. 28 through Oct.4 2025.
If you’re planning a major anniversary, milestone birthday, always wanted to visit Sicily and mainland Italy or figured out that life’s just too short join me and others on this fantastic voyage, I 100% guarantee you’ll never forget your time spent on this trip of a lifetime.
